As a society, we tend to value and adore youth, but what happens when reality strikes and the superpowers we once had start to deplete? How do we adapt, accept, and grow from our new situation? How do we get to a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being?
Well-being is about being happy in our day to day and includes satisfaction from our life, a sense of purpose, and how in control we feel. In the second part of our lives, we tend to review our life backward to see what we have done right or wrong, what dreams we did not fulfill, and what we have achieved. At the end of the process, we either develop a sense of content or desperation.
As an older adults’ coach it is my mission to guide you through these transitions until you achieve a sense of contentment and retrieve your complete well-being. Together, slowly, and gently, we will figure out which area of your well-being is being compromised. We can work towards managing your health better or re-organize your space, time, and papers. I will support you as you learn to cope with loss and grief and achieve closure as you deal with other life’s challenges. Through your journey, I will empower you to re-organize your life in a way that will fit your goals so your overall well-being will be restored.
Our main goal will be to “Accept what is, let go of what was, and have faith in what will be.” (Sonia Ricotti).
